Here we are, another month has passed, and Praise God, He is still working in and through us. How humbling and exciting at the same time. Some expressed appreciation for the Bulletin of my brother’s funeral that I attached in our last update.
As I said, God continues to work. My current objective for my radio program this year and next is to encourage listeners to read through the Bible. My reason is captured in this letter from Kevin, a listener who is doing it.
‘I am enjoying following along with your ‘Through the Bible in Two Years’ program. The two year concept enables me to slow down and really delve into the scripture. I think I tend to reread a lot more and spend more time looking at Bible commentary and footnotes. At times a scripture will stop me in my tracks and I’ll find myself rereading it several times and then falling behind. Then I’ll rush to catch up – and invariably find myself way ahead, which brings me back around to re-read wherever you are at. On a personal note, I used to read westerns, but then the Old Testament came alive. Praise God. Thank you. Kevin”

Otherwise our family is doing well. We enjoyed seeing two grandsons perform their piano recitals. I had the privilege of speaking at a Christian High School graduation. Our granddaughter, Samantha, is going on a mission to the Philippines with about 60 other teens from her church, July 6-18. And our extended family will be traveling during the summer. We’d appreciate prayer for safety and a fruitful summer.
