March was quite a month for me. I returned home from the NRB conference in Dalas on February 28. A pain in my stomach area caused me to go to Emergency at a nearby hospital. They found that I had a large kidney stone. After an appointment with a Urologist a few days later it was decided that I have a Lithotripsy procedure to blast the kidney stone. As I was being prepped for the procedure my heart acted irregularly so they canceled it until a cardiologist cleared me. Then the procedure was postponed two more times before I finally had a Cystoscopy which took care of the stone. That left me with a stint from the kidney to the bladder, and a catheter. The catheter was removed on March 31. Now I’m recovering from all of that. The stint will be removed in about 4 weeks.
I followed up with the Cardiologist who concluded after a battery of tests, including my first ever Stress test, that I have some minor issues, but I can go ahead with my normal life and see them in August. Whew! Fortunately, through the whole month I had no pain after the first two days. Thanks to all of you who prayed for me.
No, I didn’t have any noticeable Serendipitous Encounters, but a fair amount of discussion and expressed concern around the dinner table here at Countryside Village. I tell God that I’m available, on assignment and serve as an ambassador daily.
Throughout the month I was able to distribute and mail a lot of copies of my new book. Again, if you sent me your mailing address and have not received a copy yet, let me know. I wasn’t 100% on top of things throughout the month. If you haven’t requested a copy, and want one, please send me your address.
My next Vesper service will be on the 13th. A new copy of my book, A Call to Responsible Freedom, is now available in the Latvian language. Please pray that God will touch lives through it in Latvia.
