In recent visits we tried to quiet our hearts and minds in order to better get to know Jesus Christ experientially. We reflected on the statements in the Bible that point to His being light, love, life and truth.
We also saw that He knows everything about us, past, present and future. He knows you and me perfectly, better than we know ourselves. Yet, in spite of our sin and shortcomings, He gives us light to see the truth about Himself, that He is truth and truthful, and that He loves us. He loves us so much that He died for us on the cross.
His Father accepted His sacrifice in our behalf, and will accept us as His own if we affirm faith in Jesus Christ and what He did for us. This wonderful offer seems almost too good to be true. But in its sheer simplicity anyone, young and old, rich and poor, anyone, can accept this gift and have eternal life.
Do you know this provision experientially? If not, would you like to? If your answer is “No,” I would like to know why. Would you write me and tell me why?
If your answer is “Yes,” then pray with me right now. Pray, “God, I thank you for your love for me. I want Jesus Christ, who loved me and died for my sins, to forgive me. I invite Him to come into my life and take over as my Savior and Lord. Please make me the person you want me to be. Amen.”
If you prayed this prayer will you email me, or click on the contact link to write me. I will send you literature to help you understand and grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ.
