Thanksgiving Update from Lud, ’25

Praise the LORD. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. Psalms 106:1
I just went to the Cardiologist today for a follow-up visit following my Cardiac Catheterization Procedure a month ago.  The Dr’s comment was, “Your heart appears to be doing well at this time.
Keep up what you are doing, and I’ll see you in March 2026.”
I’m planning to fly to Chicago to visit my two son’s families for a week over Thanksgiving.
Vesper service went well last Sunday with 17 in attendance.  We have had several residents fall and need special care for recovery.  The woman who made her commitment to Christ a few weeks ago has moved to another senior care facility but seems to be doing well.
I’m continuing to meet with a couple of retired pastors who try to do what they can, like me, to use the gifts God has given us.
Whenever I can, I get to go and see my great grand kid’s activities.  I think I’ll be celebrating Christmas in this area this year.
I got two emails from former members at Fellowship Church:
“Hello Lud…I just viewed your website and thought to say Hello.  It’s been since 2003 that we last spoke at my father’s memorial service at FBC.  If you have a moment, please let me know so we can get up to date.  May God bless.  Jack”
And:  “Lud, I had lunch with Tim Smith recently and he told me of your monthly Update email.  I praise our Lord for you and will never forget how you reached out to me when I was starting my business. You were a comfort in a very challenging time in my life.  By our Lord’s grace, my business has done well, and now I am mostly retired, and my sons have taken over the business, a true answer to prayer.
I hope you are doing well. It sounds as though you are serving in all your circumstances.  Please add me to your Update email list as I would like to follow you.  Take care, may God bless you and I will keep you in my prayers.
A final note I thought you might be interested in.  At the church we now attend, yesterday my oldest son Eric recommitted his life to Christ, his wife Jeni, my son Kyle and my son in law Zach were all baptized.  Truly one of the special days in my life.  You had baptized Eric as a young teen, and he wanted his wife to get baptized and it helped her make the decision if he got baptized again and recommitted his life to Christ.  You had a hand in this.  Truly amazing to see how our Lord works.
Thanks, George”
