Instead of Home alone, I’m happy to update you, Mur was released from the hospital, and I happily brought her home. Both of us have been resting well and are getting caught up on things around the house today. We have started a new normal: She has a new heart valve, a new pacemaker/defibrillator, restricted movement of her left arm and no lifting of more than 10 pounds for six weeks. All of this, and more, gives new meaning to me on what Peter said in 1st Peter 3:7 – “Husbands…be considerate as you live with your wife, and treat her with respect as the weaker partner and as heir with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.”
With Thanksgiving Day behind us, Mur and I want to thank all of you who have been praying for us. It’s amazing how many have been praying. God did answer your prayers. Throughout the last two months of this journey we have seen specific answers. At times we had to patiently wait for the answers to come. It wasn’t always easy to rejoice in the waiting room, but we worked at it. In the end, we saw how God was working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). Again, thank you.
