update from Lud and Mur, February, ’20

February 17th, 2020

The sun is shining brightly this morning and I can see distant vistas clearly without glasses!! Now I need to manage making sure I have reading glasses available for close up work. That will take a while getting used to, since for 65 years I put my glasses on first thing in the morning and kept them on until going to bed at night. You might not recognize me if we happen to meet on the street. The two eye operations are behind me, now the “drops in the eyes” regimen needs to be endured for a few more weeks. There is always something, right? Praise God, one day we will experience the ultimate transforming operation – “we know that when Jesus Christ appears we shall be like him, for we shall see Him as He is.” PERFECTION! No need for any kind of glasses anymore……in the meantime, Thanks for praying. The eye surgeries went without incident and as I said, the healing process is moving along well, with the loving help of my “eye drop” helpmate.
This Thursday, after a follow up appointment for my eyes, we will be on the road again, starting with visits to our daughters, Tammi in NC, and Debbie in GA, along with as many of their family members as are available. Then we will go to the National Religious Broadcasters convention in Nashville, TN, February 27-29. Please pray, that we will make good contacts while there related to our radio ministry. On our way back home we’ll stop in Indiana to witness the baptism of our two great grandsons, Miles and Silas, from our grand-daughter Sarah’s family. That will be a great celebration!
By the way, my radio program, Getting God’s Message, is now being broadcast over the brand new Radio Station, WKJH 91.9 FM, Barberton, OH. We were able to pick up there signal all the way home the other day. Try the station to see if it can be heard from your location. I believe my program will be on at about 5:45 am, Monday – Friday, during the Morning Drive segment hosted by my dear friend, Mark Zimmerman.
PS: If you’ve ever wanted to do an in-depth study of the book of Romans, that’s what I’m doing this year on my program. Up to this point I’ve been doing a biographical study of the life of the Apostle Paul. Starting February 19 I will begin the study of Romans. Why not join others in this study. I believe it will give you a better grasp of what the Gospel or Good News is all about.
