update from Lud and Mur, August ’21

August 10th, 2021

We trust you have had a wonderful summer so far. With schools starting so early in many places, it seems as though summer is almost over. I hope not. We’ve had a few days in a row that have been great, except the mornings are too cold to enjoy breakfast in our gazebo.
Do you at times feel like the disciples in Mark 5:31, “Because so many people were coming and going…they did not even have a chance to eat!” Observing this, Jesus said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” Hopefully you have made some time, gone to a quiet place, spent time alone with Jesus, and got some rest! It has been said, “Beware of the barrenness of a busy life!”

Here are some things ahead of us this next month, and we’d appreciate your prayers.
1. We’re celebrating our 62nd anniversary on August 8. Praise God for His faithfulness to us and pray that He continues to bless us and our growing family.
2. I will be speaking at an outdoor service in Chardon’s square on Sunday, August 22. Then at Cornerstone Church in Middlefield on August 29th as a part of their starting to meet in their new facility. And I’m also scheduled to preach at Fellowship Bible Church’s 45th anniversary on September 5. I’d sure appreciate prayer for God’s blessing on these opportunities to share the Word of God.
3. We had a good time at the National Religious Broadcaster’s convention in Dallas, TX. Pray for God’s guidance as we follow up on some possible new ministry outreaches.
