We were reminded in our study of the book of Jude to be ready to help those God brings our way. On a trip some years ago my wife and I were on a mission trip. After visiting Europe and Africa we spent a few days in Israel. From there my wife returned home and I continued to other Asian and Far East countries. While waiting for my flight in the Israeli airport a teen age girl from Thailand came up to me and asked if what I was reading was a Bible. I said, “Yes.” She asked if she could talk to me about the Bible. I was glad to have her sit down and we started talking. 

 

She had been an exchange student in America, living with a Christian family. During her year with them she came to understand her need of a Savior and had prayed to receive Jesus into her heart. Now she was returning to her family in Thailand and wasn’t sure how to share with them what had happened to her.

 

We talked until it was time for me to check in for my flight. I asked her when her flight was scheduled, and to our surprise we found out that we were on the same flight. We arranged to sit together and for the eight hours flight to Sri Lanka I was able to teach her how to grow and maintain her Christian life as well as how to share her new relationship with Jesus.  

 

By the grace of God He prepared my heart to see and buy up an opportunity He brought my way. At the same time, He prepared her heart to receive the truth and respond to it.
