Do you have a life’s verse? I’ve talked to a lot of people who have identified one verse that seems to have been deeply imbedded into their hearts and minds. What is your life’s verse? If you’ve never selected one I’d like to encourage you to pray that God would guide you to a verse that you can relate to and that identifies the issues you need to keep in mind as you go about living your life for God.

The verse I’ve chosen is found in the book we are reading at this time in our project of reading through the Bible by the end of the year. It is 1 Corinthians 9:19, “Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.”

Let me share with you how this is worked out in my life. As I went on two recent mission and vacation trips I was going to spend a lot of time in airplanes and airports. I didn’t have an obligation to talk to anyone I might sit beside in the plane or in waiting rooms. But I looked and prayed for opportunities to engage in conversations so I might be able to share Jesus Christ with others. That’s how this verse is worked out in my life. I look for opportunities to reach out and minister to others so that I might win as many as possible for the glory of God.

I believe that if you would pray each day as you get up in the morning that you are available to God to use you to help someone else that day, you would be surprised at how many opportunities would come your way.

After choosing a verse and applying it to your life let me know what the outcome is in you and others.
