We have been looking at what I’ve called Category A prayer requests – that is, requests that have definite Biblical support. By “definite” I mean requests that are based on statements in God’s Word that clearly reveal His will in a given matter.
The most important request anyone can bring before God in prayer is when someone asks God to save them. I love the amazing grace demonstrated in the following verses of the Bible: John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 1:12, “To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”
Paul states it this way in Romans 10:9-13, “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved…Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Did you notice the words, “whoever,” “all,” “you,” “anyone” and “everyone?” Also the words, “have eternal life,” “the right to become children of God,” and “you will be saved?”
I confidently tell people that if they confess their need to be saved, believe that God loves them and has sent His Son to be their Savior and receive Him by asking Him to come into their hearts they are saved and have eternal life. That’s a Category A prayer that God will never turn down. If you’ve never prayed it, pray it now!
