In our study of the book of Jude we’ve identified the author.  Then we established a title and key verse.  The title is, Prepared and Kept for the Presentation.  The key verse is the last half of verse 1, “To those who have been called, who are loved by God the Father and kept by Jesus Christ.” 

The next step in a chapter study is to state what the chapter is about.  Here is what I put down:  If you are a Christian, no matter what you face in life, be assured that God will see you through it till that day when He presents you without fault in His glorious presence.  If you get no more out of our reading and study of this book, this truth would suffice, and our study would have been beneficial. 

But let’s dig a little deeper by considering some cross-references that will enrich our understanding of Jude.  If you read 2nd Peter 2 you’ll find many similarities about apostasy and the challenge to stay true to God.  I’d also encourage you to use a concordance and check out all the references in the New Testament where it says, “He is able,” or “God is able.” 

For example, Ephesians 3:20, which says, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.”  Also, Romans 16:25, “Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel.” 

It’s true, if you’re a Christian, no matter what you face in life, be assured God is able to see you through it till that day when He presents you without fault in His glorious presence.
