What we celebrate during the Christmas season was love driven and directed. Let me review what God did to show His love for you, for us, for the world. John 3:16-17 declares, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”
God’s love gift to the world was His Son Jesus Christ. He came as one who emptied Himself of His heavenly manifest glory. He came to identify with us. He came in humility. He came to fulfill this Old Testament prophecy: “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor” (Luke 4:18-19).
Jesus is God’s love gift to the world. Have you received this gift? Have you asked Jesus, who died for your sins, to forgive you? Have you invited Him to come into your life and save you? He’s standing at your heart’s door knocking. Why not invite Him to come in.
You can do so by praying this prayer. Just follow me. “Father God, I thank you for your love gift to me. I thank you that Jesus came and died for my sins. I believe He rose from the dead and want Him to forgive me and come into my life and take over. Make me the person you want me to be. Amen.” If you prayed this prayer please let me know.
