In the fullness of time God the Father sent His Son out of heaven to be born of a woman to live His life on earth for over thirty years. God the Son gladly obeyed His Father by giving Himself to accomplish this mission, to die for the sins of man so that forgiveness could be offered to all who trust in Him. The Holy Spirit was the one who worked the miracle of Mary conceiving and delivering Jesus to be the Savior of the world. 

 

The triune God, motivated by divine love, gave this gift freely to all who would believe and follow the one who embodied it, Jesus Christ. To all who received Jesus Christ, that is, believed in His name, the Holy Spirit would come and indwell them. He would make this gift a living reality in their lives. They would never be the same again. They would have eternal and abundant life. The ultimate fulfillment of what they received will take place in heaven.

 

This is how John describes this in 1 John 3:1-2, “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.”
