For some time now I have wanted to do a study of the book of Galatians in the New Testament. Some think this was one of Paul’s earliest books, if not his first. He makes some of his most profound declarations of the life of faith. As I read the book over a few times to start with I tried thinking of how best to study it and teach it. What study method should I use?

It breaks down very easily into three sections if I was to use the focus and amplify study method. The first two chapters present how he was called into his relationship with Jesus Christ and his unique calling to share his faith life with Gentiles. The middle two chapters present a historical basis for the faith life. The last two chapters present the practical application of how to live the faith life. The focus would be, How to Experience the Faith life.

The more I meditated on all that is found in the book I thought of the number of topics touched on in this book. Four progressive steps in the Christian life would start with faith. When you trust in Jesus Christ you will experience true freedom. While enjoying this freedom you need to realize you were freed to faithfully serve others. The outcome of living this way will be fruitfulness. It would be enriching to build this outline, under the title: Experiencing a Fulfilled Life, using the material found in the book of Galatians.

As you do this you wll find other topics of interest: grace, love, the person and work of the Holy Spirit, and the cross of Jesus Christ. To start our study, begin by reading the book with me.
