It’s already day five of the New Year, 2018! And we’re not yet caught up with getting settled after visiting with our extended family in NC, GA, OH and IL. We got to see all 30 of our immediate family. What a blessing to see them walking in the truth, love and faith. God protected us over the more than 2000 miles. Thanks for your continued prayers for us.
It’s been great hearing from many of you, one of the blessings of the Christmas season. We trust all of you had a great time with loved ones. We also hope you were enriched Spiritually. It was so cold on Christmas Eve in Wheaton we decided to have a candle-light service at home singing carols and reading scripture. What a joy.
We had many blessings during 2017, and a few tough times. God remained faithful, as always. Now, entering the New Year we are reminded of Jeremiah’s words in Lamentations 3:21-26, “This I call to mind and therefore I HAVE HOPE: Because of THE LORD’S GREAT LOVE we are not consumed, for HIS COMPASSIONS NEVER FAIL. They are new every morning; GREAT IS YOUR FAITHFULNESS.” We’d encourage you to memorize these three short verses, and then throughout the year, especially when the going gets tough, CALL THEM TO MIND!!
We want to thank all of you who have prayed for us and for those who were able to give to our ministry. We ended the year having received just over what was budgeted, PRAISE GOD, so we enter 2018 ready to buy up the opportunities God opens up for us to share the Good News and encourage believers to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). Our daily program, Getting God’s Message, is heard worldwide in English, Spanish, Russian and Chinese. We hear of people being blessed by the program, and by Lud’s books. Pray that God would be glorified as He uses us to touch many lives in 2018.
Our prayer is that God will bless you richly in the New Year and use you for His glory.
